The best tables on Lake Como were never meant to be reached by car. They sit above private jetties, at the end of lanes with no parking, in villages the road barely touches. So we do it the way the lake intended: you choose the restaurant — lunch, aperitivo or dinner — we pick you up at any dock, deliver you to theirs, and while you eat, the boat waits. Then it takes you home across the water. Ask anyone who has done it: the ride back is the part they tell their friends about.
Any hour is a good hour for a table
This is not only a dinner service — the lake works all day. A long Sunday lunch at a crotto with the water glittering behind your glass. A lazy midday crossing to Bellagio for pasta and people-watching, skipping the ferry queue entirely. An aperitivo landing at golden hour on a terrace that faces west.
The point is freedom: no ferry timetable deciding when your meal ends, no forty minutes hunting for parking in a village built eight centuries before cars. You eat when and where you want; getting there and back is our job.
Tell us the day and the mood — a table on the water, the best fish on the lake, somewhere the tourists have not found — and we will tell you where the boat can take you.
And then, there is dinner
We will not pretend the evening is not special. You board at your hotel's pier as the light turns amber. The crossing takes exactly as long as a glass of prosecco. The boat slows, the engine goes quiet, and you step off at the restaurant's own jetty — no car park, no taxi rank, just the maitre waiting a few steps from the water.
While you dine, we are outside on the black water. Take your time: dessert, the second coffee, the grappa the owner insists on. Whenever you are ready, the boat is at the dock.
And then the part nobody forgets: coming home across a lake that belongs to almost no one, the villas lit like lanterns, the mountains black against the sky, the water like silk. There are people who book the dinner mostly to get the ride back.

Crotto del Misto (Lezzeno) — the historic crotto with a private jetty: lake fish and the grill, the classic dinner-by-boat.
Ristorante La Punta (Bellagio) — the terrace on Punta Spartivento, where the lake splits in two.
Da Giacomo al Lago and La Terrazza (Tremezzo) — Grand Hotel glamour, crudi and Marchesi classics on the water.
Alle Darsene di Loppia — the little harbour behind Bellagio, quiet and absurdly romantic.
Trattoria del Porto (Careno) — a stone village the road barely reaches: missoltini and perch the way fishermen ate them.
Il Cavatappi (Varenna) — six tables in an alley, fresh pasta, book ahead.
For the gourmet evening: Berton al Lago at Il Sereno, L'Aria at the Mandarin Oriental, Mistral at Villa Serbelloni — Michelin-level kitchens, each with its own landing.

We pick you up anywhere on Lake Como — choose the dock nearest you or your hotel and we’ll be there to welcome you aboard.
How it works
Write to us on WhatsApp with the date, the restaurant (or the mood, and we will suggest), and how many you are. We answer with one all-inclusive price per boat: pickup at any dock on the lake — your hotel's pier included — the crossing, the wait while you dine, and the return.
We agree the return time together, and nobody looks at a watch: if the evening stretches, the boat stretches with it (a small supplement per extra half hour, agreed upfront, no surprises).
Up to six guests, price always per boat. And if the weather turns bad, we move the evening or refund you — same policy as everything we do.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?+
It depends on the distance and how long you stay at the table, so we quote each trip in one message: crossing, waiting time and return, all included, per boat — never per person. Nearby restaurants start from around EUR 350 round trip; we tell you the exact figure before you commit to anything.
Is it only for dinner?+
Not at all — lunch and aperitivo crossings are just as good, and in summer arguably better: the water sparkles, the terraces are quieter, and you skip every ferry queue. Any hour we are free, the boat is yours.
Can you book the restaurant for us?+
Yes, happily. Tell us the day, the party size and any preferences, and we will arrange the table and time the boat to your reservation. We know most of the owners on the central lake.
How late can we come back?+
We agree the return together when you book — evenings typically run until around 23:00, later by arrangement. If dinner runs long, no drama: a small pre-agreed supplement per extra half hour and the boat waits.
What if our restaurant has no dock?+
We take you to the nearest public dock and tell you honestly how many minutes on foot remain. On the central lake it is rarely more than a short stroll.
Can we combine it with a sunset cruise?+
Yes — and it is our favourite way to spend an evening: the two-hour Golden Hour cruise first, arriving at the restaurant's dock as the light fades, dinner while we wait, then the night crossing home. Ask for Sunset & Dinner and we quote the whole evening as one price.
What about bad weather?+
We watch the forecast with you, and if the lake says no we move the evening or refund you in full. Nobody should cross to dinner in the rain.
