Golden Hour Sunset Cruise on Lake Como
€550
2 hours · Prices are per boat (up to 6 guests) — not per person.
As the sun drops behind the mountains, Lake Como turns gold, the day boats head home, and the water goes quiet. This is your private 2-hour sunset cruise: just your group, a friendly skipper at the helm, and a bottle of prosecco to toast the light.
The most beautiful two hours on the lake
Golden hour is when Lake Como is at its best. The harsh midday glare softens, the villas and villages glow warm against the hills, and the surface flattens into a mirror as the crowds thin out. You'll settle into a Cranchi Turchese 24, a comfortable open-deck boat built for exactly this: sun on your face, feet up, glass in hand.
Your skipper knows where the light lands best and times the route so you're out on open water for the sunset itself. Prosecco is always included, chilled and ready to pour the moment you step aboard. Bring your phone or camera, because the photos from this hour are the ones you'll actually frame.
What you'll see
From the central lake you're minutes from the postcard landmarks. Depending on your pickup point and the evening's conditions, your skipper will aim for the classics: the cinematic gardens of Villa del Balbianello, the wooded shoreline of the Isola Comacina (the lake's only island), and the elegant waterfront of Bellagio where the two southern branches meet.
Along the way you'll glide past grand lakeside villas, tiny fishing hamlets, and the steep green mountains that ring the water. Because every route is private and unhurried, you can ask to linger somewhere, swap sides for a better photo, or simply drift while the sky changes color. Sunset times shift a lot across the April–October season, so confirm the current sunset time when you book and we'll set your departure around it.
Private, simple, and picked up wherever you are
The whole boat is yours, for up to 6 guests, with a private skipper handling everything so you never touch a chart or a throttle. There's no shared seating and no fixed group tour to join.
Home base is Lezzeno on the central lake, but pickup can be anywhere on Lake Como. Staying in Como, Cernobbio, Bellagio, Torno, Tremezzo, or Varenna? We'll meet you at a dock near your hotel or town so you can walk straight from dinner or your room to the boat. Just tell us where you're staying and we'll arrange the closest convenient pier.
Good to know before you book
The Golden Hour Sunset cruise runs 2 hours for €550 per boat (not per person), so the price is the same whether it's two of you or a group of six. Booking is online with instant confirmation and a 30% deposit to reserve your date.
Weather on the lake can change, so if conditions look bad you can cancel for free up to the day before. Bring a light layer, since it cools off nicely once the sun is down, and flat or soft-soled shoes for the boat. Everything else, including the prosecco, is taken care of.
