We plan it with you, message by message
It starts with a WhatsApp message. You tell us the date and what you have in mind, and we answer with what the lake can give you that evening: where the light will be at that hour, which corners are quiet in that week, how long you want to be out, whether you would rather ask the question in front of Villa del Balbianello or in a silent bay where nobody can see you.
We agree the timing to the minute — the boat slows here, the music starts there, the photographer is already on the shore. Nothing is left to improvisation on the day, and nothing costs you a surprise: you know the full price before you confirm anything.
What can be arranged
A professional photographer, positioned so the moment is captured without anyone noticing the camera. Flowers aboard, from a single bouquet to the whole boat dressed. Champagne on ice, or the bottle you tell us to find. Music of your choosing through the boat's system. A cushion for the knee — yes, people ask, and yes, we bring one.
We can also stage the arrival: a table set at a lakeside restaurant afterwards, a stop at a villa dock, family and friends waiting somewhere along the shore. If you have an idea we have never done, propose it — that is rather the spirit of the day.
From one hour upward
An hour is enough for the question itself: out to the chosen spot, the moment, the photographs, a toast on the way back. Most couples take two, because after she says yes nobody wants to go straight back to the dock — the lake at that hour is the best place on earth to be quietly delighted with each other.
We can also build a longer evening: the proposal at golden hour, then dinner at a restaurant reachable only by water, with us waiting to bring you home under the stars.
Secrecy, and a plan B
If it has to be a surprise, we keep it. Booking confirmations go to the address you tell us, we never mention the reason aboard until you do, and your skipper will happily play along with whatever story you have told her about the afternoon.
And if the weather turns on the day: we watch the forecast with you and move the evening, at no cost. The one thing we will never do is take you out in bad light for the most photographed minute of your life.

How much does a proposal cruise cost?+
It depends on what you want aboard and for how long, so we quote it after a short conversation — usually within the hour. The boat itself starts from one hour with your private skipper; photographer, flowers, champagne and any staging are added to a single, final figure that you approve before anything is confirmed.
Why can't I just book it online like the other experiences?+
Because the details are the experience. The hour, the spot, who is hiding where, what plays when you turn the engine off — all of it is decided with you. A booking form cannot ask those questions; a five-minute chat can.
Can you help me keep it a surprise?+
Yes, and we do it often. We can send messages only to your number, avoid the word 'proposal' aboard, and go along with whatever your partner has been told about the afternoon. Just tell us the cover story.
Is the photographer really worth it?+
It is the one thing nobody regrets. Phones in trembling hands do not do this well, and the person you are proposing to will want to see her own face in that second. Our photographer shoots from a distance so you never feel watched, and you get the pictures within a few days.
What is the best hour to propose on Lake Como?+
The hour before sunset, almost always: the mountains turn warm, the water goes still, and the villas glow. We check the sunset time for your exact date and build the timing backwards from it.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
We move it, free of charge. We follow the forecast with you in the days before and suggest the best window — and if nothing works during your stay, you get everything back.
