Who we are

Lake Como Boat Experience (“we”, “us”) operates the website lakecomoboatexperience.com and provides private boat tours and rentals on Lake Como, Italy. Italian VAT number (P.IVA) 04060970136. For any privacy question, contact us at info@lakecomoboatexperience.com.

What we collect

When you make a booking or contact us, we collect only what we need to serve you:

• Your name, email address and phone number;
• Your booking details (date, time, duration, number of guests, boarding point and any notes);
• Payment is processed by our provider SumUp — we never see or store your full card details;
• Essential cookies only (your chosen language and a record that you accepted the cookie notice).

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your data to process and confirm your booking, to contact you about your trip, and to send your confirmation and calendar ticket — this is necessary to perform our contract with you. We do not send marketing emails without your consent, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with trusted providers who act on our behalf:

• SumUp — to take your deposit securely;
• Google Calendar — to store your reservation;
• Our email provider — to send your confirmation and calendar invite;
• Behold — to display our public Instagram feed (no personal data of yours is involved).

Each processes data under its own privacy terms. Our website is hosted on Vercel.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as required by Italian tax and accounting law, after which they are deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept only as long as needed to answer you.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to receive a copy of it (portability). To exercise any of these, email info@lakecomoboatexperience.com. You also have the right to complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies that make the site work (remembering your language and that you accepted the cookie notice). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
